Bogotá, 23 - The Colombian Congress will examine the bilateral double taxation treaty signed with France by the president. The deal will reach the congressional floor on July 20. The government aims to turn the treaty in an additional stimulus to French investments in Colombia, strengthening bilateral relations. "We will present the Double Taxation Treaty with France on July 20. There are all the tools and instruments to have a stronger relationship with France," said the Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos during his official trip to the European country. France is one of the most significant foreign investors in Colombia. At least 150 French companies have generated more than 100,000 direct jobs in the South American country, and about 40 have arrived in the last seven years.
