Vanguard Short-Term Bond (BSV)

The investment seeks to track the performance of a market-weighted bond index with a short-term dollar-weighted average maturity. The fund employs an indexing investment approach designed to track the performance of the Barclays Capital U.S. 1-5 Year Government/Credit Float Adjusted Index. It invests by sampling the index. The fund invests at least 80 of assets in bonds held in the index. It maintains a dollar-weighted average maturity consistent with that of the index which generally does not exceed 3 years
